Three Generations…renewed into one dream.

Three Generations, each with her own story of resilience and new beginnings.

Of Faith, Hope and Perseverance. Cookie Couture has given us a new oportunity to renew ourselves each in her own way and always trusting in Gods promise to us.

How Cookie Coture was born.

In 2008, a new adventure in my life begins. COOKIE COUTURE is born.

We are a small, family business dedicated to the production of cookies, biscuits and desserts.

It emerges as an alternative work after having to close the doors of AMARILIS. A women's clothing factory that I build and manage for 27 years with twelve employees. The preferences of our customers changed, as they decided to purchase designs in other countries such as China, who merchandise at lower prices.

It was a very difficult time in my life. But God had taken us to a place where we had enough space to start over. We remember HIS promise of accompaniment and decide to believe Him.

I didn't know what I could do with all the inventory I had, sewing machines, mannequins, fabrics, buttons, and ornaments. I tried to sell them, but to whom? So I decided to try using them and started making cloth bags and filling them with cookies to offer as Wedding Reminders and Corporate Gifts. This is the reason for our name.

Without having any experience in the culinary field I gave myself the task of creating recipes that I developed in the industrial kitchen of my church, Disciples of Christ Church of Altamesa, which lent me its facilities for a year.

We soon realized we needed another product to increase our sales and started selling a Pumpkin Cake. This recipe had been sent to me by my sister some time ago and I had saved it(causalities of God). Everyone knows the Carrot Cake, but the Pumpkin Cake is not very popular. So I did that and went to "La Hacienda Meat Center” to offer it. They liked it very much and made me the first order. A small order only 6 cakes a week but very grateful to God who opened that door for us. In this way we began to sell wholesale. "The Hacienda Meat Center” was our first customer and today we supply our cookies and snacks weekly to many others.

Customers started coming to our building and we didn't have a place to serve them. So, we separated a space to arrange it as a store and there we could sell our cookies, birthday cakes with meringue (like those made by grandmothers) and desserts such as “Tres Leches”, Leon Pie and Pecan Pie among others.

One day a gentleman knocked on our door and said, "They tell me they sell coffee here." It was not true but we had coffee, a coffee maker and milk, so we offered him what we had and from that moment COUTURE CAFÉ opened its doors.

A store was born and a new Hostess emerged in the famous “Tata”. She told our story to each person that came through those doors, with a smile a caring heart and a warm welcome she became everybody’s Grama.

In 2019 Amarilis joined in, she was laid off after 13 years working in the food industry at the private sector, she encounter a divorce and many personal struggles; it was her turn for a new beginning. Cookie Couture also became her home a place for her to grow in different ways and to heal. A place where she would find again a new rode map for her life. She became in charge of the store, event and corporate accounts and many wonderful changes came along.

It's been 15 years since we moved to this place where God brought us. We have had ups and downs, many tears and many moments of joy. But we continue to work with enthusiasm and dedication so that the promise that God made us in 2005 when he brought us to this place is fulfilled. We want to share our story with others to help them see in living color that in God all things can be renew, no matter the hardship you have faced or what season in your life you are in. With perseverance and faith you can change your world for you and those around you.

Isaiah 41:18-20

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.
I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
I will set junipers in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together,
so that people may see and know, may consider and understand,
that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
